How it works

Independent Option

On the Independent option, applicants are responsible for finding their own job placement with an employer who is willing to offer a training program in line with their degree course or current field of employment. Once a company is located, and details of this have been sent through to Chilli Adventures, our overseas cooperating partners will contact the company to verify the suitability of employment and review the obligations of the employer.  Trainees are responsible for making all arrangements with a company who wishes to offer a training program, including negotiating compensation, if applicable.

Program fees include, an acceptance session which will provide travel, housing and visa assistance as well as pre-departure help and advice. The host company will also receive support and advice on putting together the training program, as well as all necessary support for the duration of applicants stay in the USA.  Also provided is a phone card & voice mail message service, exceptional customer service, 24-hour Emergency assistance and access to the Chilli Adventures Tax Service for easy tax refund processing.  

*APPLICATION DEADLINE: Min. 2 month prior to proposed departure for the US. 

Costs:
12 month program – Total Program Fees: R9,456
18 month program – Total Program Fees: R13,434

Placement Option

On the Placement option, we will make arrangements for a job placement within the area of an applicants study or prior experience.  Based on qualifications and experience we will locate a suitable employer and work with them to put together a training program.  All placement option employers are currently in the area of Hospitality and Resorts.  As well as job placement, program fees include an acceptance session providing travel, housing and visa assistance as well as pre-departure help and advice, phone card & voice mail message service, exceptional customer service, 24-hour Emergency assistance and access to the Chilli Adventures Tax Service for easy tax refund processing.

Insurance! 

We’ve got you covered!  The US State department requires that as visa sponsors, we provide all participants with comprehensive work and travel insurance. The policy includes worldwide coverage for accident, sickness, medical evacuation, loss or theft of luggage. Full details of the insurance policy will be provided at the pre-departure orientation meeting. The insurance premium will depend on the required program length. Twelve months insurance from R550*(please ask your local office for a quote)
