Best Travel Moments:
Summers in Wisconsin, USA, Sunrise on Sidney Harbor Bridge on new years day, brushing my teeth on the banks of the Ganges in India, and traveling through Myanmar when the country first opened its boarders to the world!

Words of Advice:
Recognize then seize every opportunity that comes your way with as much enthusiasm as you can muster.  See challenges as opportunities and learn from them.  Strive to be all that you can be.  Don’t let anyone, most importantly yourself, tell you that you cannot do or be something you believe in!

Role Model:
Richard Branson for his vision, exuberance in taking a chance on his passions and generosity in giving back.

Dream not yet achieved:
Travel more extensively within Africa and podium placement at Ironman World Championships!

Three words that sum you up:
Independent, Determined, Passionate

More about me: I began independent travel at the age of 17 and my gap YEARS (yes years!) turned out to be the most life affirming, challenging and inspiring years of my life.  I’ve been an Au Pair in Switzerland, a Camp Counselor in the USA, I’ve taught remedial reading in Fiji, been a checkout girl in Sydney Australia (worst job ever), a hotel manager in New Zealand and I’ve travelled extensively throughout the world including Myanmar, China, Outer Mongolia, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia…. 42 countries and counting!

Working and Traveling uncovered a big wide world, taught me some valuable lessons and made me believe in myself and all that I could be.  I went on to study and earned two Honors Degrees and had my final thesis published (proof to parents that it is possible to go back to studies post travel!)  I would never have managed this if I had studied directly after school.  With some hard work and determination you can achieve anything – don’t be limited by others expectations!

I firmly believe that working and traveling overseas is life changing!  This passion lead me to start Chilli Adventures and I am lucky enough to see the experiences that we facilitate change lives every day.  Outside of Chilli Adventures I live the life of an avid triathlete and when not working can usually be found trawling up and down a pool near you or cycling and running the roads around Cape Town!
