More about me: Travelling has been one of my most valuable lessons in life and every new experience I have had was a life lesson. I would not change those memories for anything. I was extremely fortunate to travel to Europe and the UK after finishing school and only wish I could have experienced more during this time. This is why when I get the opportunity to help someone travel, I honestly feel very privileged. I have most certainly tried my hand at a number of different jobs. I had the exciting job of being a bread packer in Manchester, a landscaper in Altringham,  a street sweeper in London, a busy bartender in the Czech republic and a pastry chef in Dunkeld just to name a few. All I can say is – no matter what you do, where you go or who you meet, the experience and memories you make while travelling will change your life forever. It has definitely changed mine and I am the person I am today because of each and every one of the jobs I had whilst abroad.

Having started my Gap year “or 2”  after matriculating, travelling was very new to me. I enjoyed  the comforts of the expected and thought it would be easy. To my surprise, I was very wrong, everything was different and many things were difficult. I remember my first night in a backpackers feeling very sorry for myself and missing home more than I expected. I recall seeing a poster and those words have stuck with me: “Not all those who wander are lost.” The best part of travelling for me is experiencing what the new and exciting destinations have to offer – new food, new people, new adventures and most importantly a new ME.  I always try to challenge myself, forget what I’m used to and to absorb as much as I possibly can. Travelling changed my life and I can’t wait to be part of your overseas work & travel experience!
