If you are currently a full time student, you can’t help but have heard about the Work Experience program to the USA! It is absolutely THE thing to do with your summer vac! No more sitting with the same boring job back home making minimum wages – rather go see what people are raving about, and head out to a winter wonderland, learn to ski or snowboard (for free!), meet and work along side people from across the globe and make some serious cash, all whilst partying your butt off!!!!
The Chilli Adventures team having been running the Winter Work Experience program to the USA for the last 7 years in South Africa. In this time we have sent over thousands of South African students to have a summer vac they will never forget! (Go to participants stories to hear about their adventures!). Together with our overseas cooperating partners, Chilli Adventures will organize sponsorship for a J1 visa allowing you to work ANYWHERE in the U.S. doing almost ANYTHING! Past participants have worked at pubs in Boston, on ranches in Montana, as film extras in Hollywood, or as Lifeguards on the beaches in Florida and Hawaii, to name a few. As the Work Experience season runs for 2-5 months from November, it’s the U.S. winter, and so many people choose to work at one of the many Fabulous Ski Resorts across the country. Haven’t you ever wondered what a White Christmas would be like? You too could be skiing / snowboarding and working in the mountains at Resorts such as Aspen, Vale, Heavenly and Squaw Valley. The J1 work visa, also allows you to work at more than one job, work as you travel if that’s what you prefer – Therefore maximizing flexibility and earning power.
Students go on the Work Experience program to the USA for lots of different reasons. Maybe you want to make the most of a free ski pass offered by many of the resorts and learn to ski, or to have fun and travel. Or maybe your aim is to get a couple of jobs, to make the most of the opportunity to earn BIG U.S. Dollars! Whatever your goal, you will certainly gain valuable work and life experience as well as having the time of your life! Now is the time to stop dreaming and start using your student card for something better than cheap movies!
