THIS ONE TIME . . .

Tell us your Stories! The Winter Work and Travel program to the USA has truly spread through word of mouth. We began back in 2000 with only 35 people and it’s grown to a peak of 1000 students! Word has spread across campus’ about the adventures to be had, money to be made, friends to get to know.....This is what just a few of the past participants have had to say about their experiences:
"This trip was truly one of the most valuable experiences of my life to date. I had the opportunity to share in a new and different culture, not just as a tourist, but as a local! I met people from so many different places, and have friends all over the world now. This program provided me with an unforgettable experience. I would encourage anyone to take part!

"There are so many memories from my trip I don't know where to start! New Years eve stands out as being pretty awesome as a HUGE group of us spent the day snowboarding together all dressed up in SA flags and partied hard through the night!"

"Thanks a lot. And thank you to everyone in your company for being so efficient and quick to respond. Its really refreshing to see such a professionally run organization,it gives me a lot of confidence for the process in the future

"The favorite memories of my trip were going snowmobiling (which was AMAZING!). I had the opportunity to travel away from Copper Mountain where I worked, as my boss was quite flexible. Travel to New York City and Florida after my job had finished was also just the best fun! The shopping is to DIE for!!!!!!

I worked as a “liftie” (ski lift operator), which meant I was able to go snowboarding every single day that I was there. The people I worked with and met along the way were great, and I have come away from my trip not just having made money, but having many strong friendships with people from all over the world and with a real sense of accomplishment. Traveling and working overseas taught me so much about myself and gave me so much confidence. It was tough at times, and a challenge in many ways, but I truly did have the time of my life. |

I got the opportunity to go to Carambola (wanted to go to warmer weather) and work on a major Golf resort in the US virgin Islands. I worked on a beach front bar called Paradiso’..........it was really busy over the holiday season, but I was able to do some travel around the island and see some fantastic sunsets as well. It was tough to come back to studying but I am already working on getting back at the end of this year! Thank you Chilli Adventures, I appreciate all the help you gave me before and when I was in the USA.

Chilli Adventures helped me secure a job at the Marriot Hotel in Miami, Florida. Miami is huge and the night life is never ending. The beaches are so cool and the people know how to party! I shared an apartment with 2 Brazilians and an Aussie. It was difficult at first to settle in and get used to things. We didnt take as much spending money as we should! But we had awesome times and it was one of those experiences you really learn from. My job was so chilled and I spent most of the time on the beach bar, which is run as part of the Hotel. The tips were crazy and many a nights of party were sponsored by the free tipping spirit of guests!

Some friends in class told me about this cool way to make money and see the US, so I begged the money from parents and saved all year and gave it a go. It was so worth it! I went places and saw things my mates have only dreamed of. Lank Kief Bru!.
